True North continues growth

HARBOR SPRINGS – True North Golf Club continues to grow under a new owner in an effort to continue to bring private club amenities to golfers and those looking to buy into the real estate opportunities. New for 2008 is a dramatic, northern Michigan post-and-beam clubhouse with vast windowed walls located on the highest point on the property, offering pristine panoramic views of the golf course.

The deck and patio also allows members and guests to view the abundant wild life.   The new Compass Room restaurant has seating for 45 in the dining area with additional seating on the deck, patio and bar areas. The unique northern Michigan-inspired cuisine is geared to making the Compass Room one of the north's finest dining experiences. The golf club's True North Estates is offering limited real estate opportunities including 72 building sites with 42 of them on the course. The golf course and estate properties are surrounded by conservancy land.

The course has already become a favorite for players. Jim Engh’s creation dances along rugged terrain with 100-foot elevation swings and drivable par-4s. The par-5s are its centerpiece, anchored by the first and finishing holes. True North is also the first Michigan golf course to become a member of Audubon International's prestigious Silver Signature program, recognizing the club's commitment to environmental planning and resource management.
