GAM offers access to private clubs

 

FARMINGTON HILLS – The Golf Association of Michigan is opening doors to public players dreaming of playing area private clubs. A new program, GAM Golf Days, is a series of one-day golf events for men and women GAM members throughout the state, allowing more  access, at a discounted rate, to a variety of private and high-end resort golf courses. All events are shotgun starts and consist of 18 holes of stroke play with a full USGA/GAM Handicap Index. The $55 entry fee includes golf cart, green fee, range balls and prizes awarded for both gross and net winners. Players, who must be 18, are also able to sign up with friends. The schedule includes stops at: Gull Lake Country Club in Richland June 16, Greywalls in Marquette June 30, Gowanie in Mt. Clemens July 7, Edgewood in Commerce Township July 14, Walnut Hills in East Lansing July 14, Battle Creek Country Club August 11, Western Golf & County Club in Redford Township August 12 and Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club in Grosse Ile on August 18.
