Fallen Heroes outing returns to Grand Haven

GRAND HAVEN – It’s grown into a national phenomenon. The Fallen Heroes Golf Outing, founded by Grand Haven Golf Club president Dan Rooney, has grown into a Patriot Golf Day event sanctioned and sponsored by such organizations as the PGA of America and Golf Digest. This year, Rooney projects that 10,000 courses will join mission Patriot Golf Day and more than 5 million golfers will participate over Labor Day Weekend to raise money for the Folds Of Honor Foundation to benefit the children of families who have lost those serving the U.S. military.

This year, the West Michigan Fallen Heroes Golf Outing, the event that started it all, will be June 12 at Grand Haven, with 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. shotgun starts. Join by downloading the form at www.grandhavengolfclub.com. The entry fee of $150 will include: opening ceremonies, tee gift, full breakfast (a.m. shotgun), pig roast lunch, evening heavy appetizers, pin event competitions, hole-in-one prizes, complimentary beer and beverages and prizes.
