Free Golf kicks off season

GAYLORD – Two great northern Michigan destinations are offering free golf to kick off the season.

The third annual Gaylord Golf Mecca Golf Weekend, originally scheduled for April 18-20, has been extended to April 25-27 due to the longer then normal winter season. This is a celebration of spring and a "thank you" to the many golfers who have frequented the scenic destination over the past 20 years. Visitors who book an overnight stay at one of the participating hotels will be able to play a free round of golf on one of the participating courses. The Hawk’s Eye Golf Resort in Bellaire will also offer free golf on its two courses, Hawk’s Eye and The Chief, until May 11. Cart fees are just $10 Monday thru Thursday and there’s a surcharge on Fridays thru Sunday. For details, visit www.golfhawkseye.com.
