| Michigan-based Web site that
plans golf tournaments a hit
FARMINGTON – The Michigan-based J. Ryder Group continues to make news.
Its popular web site, www.GolfDigestPlanner.com, the world’s first comprehensive golf-planning Web site, continues to evolve and improve.
In January, it initiated the Golf Digest Tournament Planner Golf Course program that will provide golf event organizers a searchable database of 2,000 select tournament-ready golf courses.
Also, it signed an agreement to promote a tournament planner and sell branded merchandise to more than 3,300 Rally for the Cure® event organizers and participants. Rally for the Cure® (www.rallyforthecure.com) event organizers and participants will be able to order branded merchandise at a new online store, www.rallyforthecure.com/pinkshop, operated by J. Ryder Group. The Rally for the Cure®, in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, is a golf-based initiative dedicated to helping eradicate breast cancer.
The Golf Digest Tournament Planner, launched in August 2007 and found at www.GolfDigestPlanner.com, is now among the top 2 percent of all Internet sites and has become the fastest growing site, based on traffic, in the golf industry. It is anchored by a six-minute planning “Wizard” designed to assist in planning every aspect of any golf event – including locating a tournament host course, accepting registration and payment, and picking hole-in-one and million-dollar-shot contests.
