What began as a simple ski haven in northern Michigan more than six decades ago has now come to be known as the Midwest’s finest collection of resort destinations thanks to Boyne Resort’s visionary founder, Everett Kircher. With eight extraordinary golf courses and three remarkable resorts – each offering fantastic accommodations, exceptional amenities, grand dining and endless activities – Boyne presents a one-of-a-kind Great Lakes getaway that is nothing short of spectacular.

The Alpine golf course is home of the Tournament of Champions. It weaves gracefully down the mountainside towards spectacular Deer Lake. Stunning vistas with strategically placed water hazards and bunkers provide a thrilling round. The Alpine has a great deal of diversity in its layout, yet seamlessly flows from one hole to the next. The front nine is constantly tempting and testing you with its sly charm. If you find yourself in the middle of a good round, stay patient and consider each shot by itself, for the finish will certainly make you hang on to your hat.

The Monument golf course is a composite of dramatic and challenging golf holes of widely varying character, reflecting the distinct design philosophies of such noted architects as Donald Ross, Dr. Alister Mackenzie, Robert Trent Jones, George Fazio, and Pete Dye. It is dedicated to great golf course architecture and to those who have left lasting imprints on the game. Holes are dedicated to these players and contributors to the game of golf, making the Monument a one-of-a-kind-playable hall of fame.

The Heather, a Robert Trent Jones design, was the first course in the BOYNE family. It winds through thick forest and a blueberry bog. Take your shots along wide tree-lined fairways, sculpted bunkers and daunting water hazards. The Heather boasts a masterful combination of challenging shots and beautiful scenery. A full service caddy program is also available for all golfers seeking that one-of-a-kind, traditional experience.

The Arthur Hills course is an amazing spectacle of design and beauty. The course boasts many traps and hazards to trip up even the best of players and is a must-play course for golfers of every caliber. Classic Arthur Hills trademarks are found throughout the course with generous fairways leading to intense green complexes, beautiful use of the natural land, and multiple playing strategies leading to plenty of rewards... but none without a risk!

The Moor features numerous doglegs, marshes and water holes along its 6850 yards. A well designed course for players of all levels. The Moor was the second course built at Boyne Highlands and is host to many exciting events including the AJGA’s Coca-Cola Championship (July), Kircher Cup (September), and Harbor Cup (October).

The Donald Ross Memorial is a collection of classic golf holes designed by Donald Ross in the early part of the 1900’s and re-created at BOYNE from some of the architect’s most renowned courses including Oakland Hills, Seminole Golf Club, Pinehurst #2, Inverness, and Oak Hill. Where else can you experience playing the combined history of 14 U.S. Opens, 11 PGA Championships, 8 U.S. Amateurs, and 3 Ryder Cups all in 4 hours?

Bay Harbor Golf Club offers some of the world’s most challenging and sensational golf. Highlighted by three distinct nines – The Links, The Quarry and The Preserve – The Links is reminiscent of great Irish seaside courses. Miles of Lake Michigan shoreline form a backdrop for this incomparable beauty, accented with towering bluffs and dunes. The Quarry, already on the list of the world’s most unique, winds its way around and through an immense shale quarry, complete with a 40-foot gorge, stone cliffs, natural ponds and a gentle waterfall. And finally, the Preserve is a natural beauty and haven for wildlife and golfers alike. Stately hardwoods tower over lush grasses, wildflowers and wetlands- all within earshot of Lake Michigan’s shores.

Across the street from Bay Harbor is Crooked Tree Golf Club sitting atop high bluffs overlooking Little Traverse Bay. The course was sculpted from centuries-old spectacular trees that line the fairways. Its back nine opens to breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan..
